Decided to take the plunge and get my own rangefinder. I found my AOFAR GX-10 very easy to use right out of the box. Clear instructions in the form of a booklet were included. Used my rangefinder side by side with Nikon and Bushnell models and the yardage difference was negligible at 1- 2 yards max. Yardage readings a repeatable. Love my new rangefinder.
I've always used a Bushnell rangefinder and was skeptical about buying a less expensive brand. I was pleasantly surprised. It locks in quickly and is easy to read. Very happy with this purchase.
When I found my GX10 rangefinder after an exhaustive internet search I thought the price/value along with the reviews were too good to be true. Wow, was I wrong.
After about 15 rounds I could not be happier with my purchase. This model iand its features are exactly what I was looking for in a range finder. It doesn’t disappoint.
Simply put, this rangefinder does exactly what it is supposed to do. For a regular player who cannot hit the ball with centimeter-precision like a pro, it is absolutely perfect.
At this price point, it is unbeatable. Here are my thoughts after using it:
Slope mode is very easy to operate.
Flag-lock function works exceptionally well.
Accuracy is definitely great. I compared it directly to a friend’s Bushnell. The measurements were always within one meter of each other. For most golfers (myself included), that is more than enough. Plus, a difference doesn't even mean the Bushnell is the more accurate one—it just served as a reference!
At longer distances (180+ meters), it can sometimes be a bit tricky to lock onto the pin, but that is likely due to my shaky hands. As an extra backup, I use my Apple Watch with the Hole19 app, which makes it very easy to double-check if I actually hit the flag.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for great quality on a budget!
It’s a great little range finder, does exactly what it’s supposed to do.
The only minor thing is it’s very difficult to see the symbols on the buttons.
They could do with a different colour to make the symbols on the buttons stand out.
But it’s really worth the money.
